Equity, Excellence, and Education.
Mother, Educator, and Business Owner. Dedicated to ensuring every child in Natomas reaches their full potential.
Krystal King is a mother, wife, early childhood educator, and a staunch advocate of equity in our educational systems. She believes academic success should be measured by proficiency in the foundational pillars of math, science, and reading. As a business owner for over a decade, Krystal has developed an unbreakable bond with the people of Natomas.
She recognizes that creating high-quality learning environments centers on focusing on equity and inclusion, as well as growing students' social and emotional skills. Krystal holds a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and a Child Development Teaching Permit.
Six commitments to build a stronger, more equitable school district.
In our schools, with our families, for our future.
Tackling the literacy crisis by concentrating on phonics, fluency, and vocabulary to ensure students meet reading benchmarks.
Research shows how a person's life may be negatively impacted if they aren't reading at grade level by the third grade.
""I will advocate for more emphasis on phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension in curriculum.""
Creating inclusive environments where students feel secure. Partnering with safety specialists to foster safe campuses.
Addressing staffing shortages for special education is personal to me. I will advocate for qualified therapists and transparency.
Supporting modern facilities and technology upgrades while remaining sensitive to homeowners and the overall tax burden.
Parents are trusted partners. You deserve transparency, engagement on campus, and to be consulted on policy changes.
Our teachers will be supported with competitive salaries and benefits, professional development, and with WIN time that allows for collaboration and reflective space.
For our kids.
For our community.
For Natomas.
